Pantera International Car Club will again be the organizing club for our marque at this year's Concorso Italiano in Monterey. Linda Adler has kindly offered to handle the normal hotel arrangements etc, as I have too much on my plate as it is.
August may seem like a long ways away, but now is the time for the wise person to start planning their trip, for several reasons:
The Concorso event continues to grow in popularity and attendance. The number of events taking place the same week has grown. Monterey has allowed other auto events, such as auctions, to be added to the calendar for that same week, making that week a major automobile enthusiast destination. Hotels & motels in the area are booking up earlier and earlier. The hotels and motels are also raising their rates, a supply and demand sort of thing. This makes the PI deal even more attractive. The Maserati club will be joining us this year at our motel. Their usual motel raised the rates tremendously on them, so they inquired if our motel could make room for them. Because of the motel situation, we expect our rooms to book more quickly this year too.
The Concorso organizers offer reduced entry fees for early entries.
So this is my warning, plan ahead earlier than ever.
We have a special page on the web site with info about the event & accomodations:

I hope to see you all there. We had a great turn out last year, our marque was well represented, we made a great showing, I'm hoping for a better showing this year. If you've never been there, our corral has the best location at the show. Its quite a wonderful day for those who don't spend the day working, like yours truly.
If you've never been to Monterey, its a very nice quiet beach comunity, home of the Pebble Beach Golf Course and its tournaments. It is also home to the Laguna Seca Raceway. Monterey is geared towards tourism, it makes for a nice vacation spot if you like the scenic, quiet, relaxing sort of vacation. There is a rather famous "Aquarium of the Pacific" located in the Harbor. Our weekend is one of their busiest weekends of the year, but if you were to arrive the weekend before and make a week of it, it would make a wonderful vacation too.
