How many of you have been adopted by car clubs for other makes?

I have been invited to join the local Ferrari club, and plan to do so if I get the Pantera I'm looking at.

After all the sniping between Pantera and Ferrari owners I was surprised by their friendly attitude toward anything Italian.

As a "rustang guy" (interesting jab considering Panteras reputation) I find it doubtful too many will be "scratchin' their butts" because of a Pantera at a "Ford Powered" show especially if its anything like Knotts. Most of the Mustang enthusiast guys/gals I know are up on Clevelands and the various cars they powered.

Now the spectators is a different story....

I spend a little time on the F-car site and have found support - dare I say even some respect - from that community when the Pantera name comes up. I'm sure there are jerks out there, like in any crowd, but the last Pantera mention on there had about 4 who owned (or used to own) them, plus photos, and good response thereafter.

Heck, one time I mentioned Cowboy George's name on there and actually got an agreement that he's a nice guy! Imagine that! This comment came from a guy who visits both boards, owning a Pantera and a Boxer.

He said, and I quote, that if given the ultimatum to pick ONE to keep, he'd select... drum roll, please ... the Pantera.

I think these groups are likely coming closer to the single banner of "vintage Italian car nuts" with less emphasis on what brand.

Anyway, have fun! And please do show off all the incredible attributes of these fine cars.
