My car has a Nardi steering wheel. It looks like someone scribed their name into the wheel. I am assuming someone did this and they all aren't this way? Can't figure out why someone would do it..

Mr E. Nardi was somewhat of a luminary in the pre WWII automotive world, carrying over into the post WWII automotive world as a well respected designer & engineer. His steering wheels were/are considered the premier Italian steering wheel. They are a fairly costly steering wheel, and yes, each steering wheel has his signature stamped on one of the spokes.
You've got a very well made steering wheel there, no need to replace it.
