For those of us that replicate 2d parts this is a project I have been working on. I do a lot of this for various reasons.

This is not 100% Pantera related, maybe 1%; but it's cool. I made a digitizer which reads and calculates positions from 2 optical encoders.

When you turn it on it creates and opens a DXF file on an SD card. When you push a button one sets a .125 di circle at the location of the arm. The other sets a .250 hole. The third button closes the file.

Pull out the SD disc and put it in your computer and open it in your favorite cad program. From these points you can redraw your part.

Anyway, I thought it was so cool I'd pass it on. The 2 printouts were made from the data gathered from the arm:

The arm can work around a 48" diameter with minor conflict where the mount is located. Accuracy is pretty much tied to the resolution of the 2 encoders. I just tested it on an 8" X 9" square and all points were well within a 1/32" circle.

It's funny you say that. It's actually pure logic which is what I like. It's not like emotion or politics. Only pure correct logic will work. Wanting it to work won't help. If it ain't right it won't work; pure and simple.

It is more like a Sudoku puzzle except that there is a real gain to figuring it out.
