Here's a tricky one. My left door on my 73 Pantera, bought 1 year ago, can close but the upper inner chrome part of the windowframe touches the 1" wide plate just in front of the rear side window. I've tried adjusting the door to avoid it, but then the edge around the door becomes huge and the door closing mechanism doesn't hit correctly. So whoever built my car, probably after rust repair and painting must have done something wrong. The main question is: Can the windowfram on the door be moved forward? Or can the rear side window and 1" plate (riveted on) be moved backwards?
Or any other good suggestions?

I talked to Steve Wilkenson once about this years ago, and he said the fix is placing a wood block on the window frame, then having someone take a sledge hammer to it to move the window frame up. He said he doesn't like the customer around when he does it, since of course they could freak out seeing the process. However, he says it fixes it. Over time that window frame part tends to sag for various reasons it seems. Maybe give Steve a call, I believe he was serious about this process when he was telling me, unless he was pulling my leg.
