Door frame chrome trim removal

Have you considered taping off the areas surrounding the trim & polishing in place?

A dremel tool, buffer pad & some polishing compound & you might achieve your desired effect...Mark

I modified an old pair of Vice Grips to do this job. The trim pops off very easily (after you have drilled out the rivet at each end) I ground the top of the jaw to that it hooks the edge of the trim and the bottom of the jaw so it sits on the bottom edge. I then work my way along the trim removing a small amount at a time to ensure I dont bend it. To get the trim back on you make sure the rivet hole is aligned and then bang it on with your hand, it's very easy.

I worked mine off with a sharp putty knife. Slide the putty knife under the lip and pry up. Go slow or you will bend the trim.
