Hi All,

Before I continue to post on this fantastic forum I need to acknowledge a few things and people.

First and foremost I want to say thank you all who support and participate in this forum/site. Without you and this website many newbies would be at a complete loss as to where to get info on these fantastic cars. I know there are other forums and websites like POCA (I'm now a member there also)etc., but this one is especially easy to use, friendly and full of great information and links to even more. Thanks of course also to George Pence for keeping this site going out of his own pocket so we have a place to hang out, share and learn.

Next, I want to thank some of the specific individuals who have taken the time to talk to me over the last two years as I worked on my search for my first Pantera. These people have patiently and nicely answered my dumb and never-ending questions and along with all of you here, have made our little corner of the automotive world a welcoming place for the beginner and expert alike. My complete appreciation and thanks to:

George Pence - mentor extrordinaire and friend.
John Buckman - likewise.
Chuck Anderson - ditto
Mike Dailey - fount of knowledge and nice guy.
Chuck Melton - great Registry and much help.
Don Byers - many thanks for your help!
Bob Byers - ditto
Steve Wilkinson - ditto
Mike Mayberry - ditto
Dennis Quella - ditto
Larry Stock - ditto
Marino - ditto
Tommy Hodges - ditto
Mike Drew, Garth and many others for their great websites and/or answers to my questions here.

Thanks to you all, I now own my first Pantera and have realized a dream since I first saw a Pantera on an autobahn when I was 13!

Thank you!

I, too, want to chime in with my appreciation for the people who make this community what it is....

I have had people send me parts I need (free), modify CAD files to help me upgrade my engine bay, and the board has provided lots of advice.

When I was looking for a car, the POCA "Man of the Year" invited me and two friends to go out to lunch with he and his buddies, when he didn't know us from Adam - just to help us know a little more about the cars and the people.

Finally, one local Pantera owner has worked with me / trained me on Holley Carburetors (and on the car itself). He took a lot of time out of his very busy schedule to get me set up, and I am very grateful....

This place is great... My car would not be as cool, nor as fun without the help I got here.

Rocky

Agreed there are some great folks who are into these cars. Thanks to all those who contribute here and to the ones who help out others locally in our respective regions. I had a group of guys come out locally to help with my first engine pull a few years ago on a dreary saturday morning. Another member helped me do the headliner, an area outside of my expertise. Hopefully I can give back in due time as well. For me, the support from the other owners has been icing on the cake to realizing pantera ownership.
