Most any 351-C block (30+ yrs old & counting) will need to be bored as well as overhauled. Overhaul cost will vary depending on the quality of the parts used and the per-hour labor charge of the shop, but a reasonable number for all stock parts & cast pistons might be $2200 and you do most of the labor. I advise using stronger forged pistons, best-quality bearings, seals & gaskets and a 10-qt aftermarket oil pan on any Pantera. This will up the cost by another $500-1000. All the vendors including the sponsor of this web page can build you an engine and include a limited warranty, but you need to have a firm idea as to what you expect from your new powerplant. Then call & talk to the builder himself, not an order-taker. Non-Ford- specialist builders often screw up with the 351-C as there are unique features in this engine waiting to trap the unwary.
