This's a little hard to answer since there are 4 varieties that fit your description: early 70-71 with closed-chamber heads, later 72-74 with open-chamber heads, There are 2-bolt-mains & 4-bolt as well, with sub-groups of low mileage/freshly-overhauled and dragged-outa-a-beater-with-millions-o'-miles. Add in the fact that a complete engine in a small town in south Texas and in Chicago may be priced with the local economy, this question has no accurate answer. These engines are all 30+ yrs old and most have had a hard life. A decent unbored 351C block is probably worth $250; a short block assy a little more. Anything else is as you negotiate it since you can't check the guts without pulling pan, intake etc. Also keep in mind that with a station-wagon 351C, you'll be throwing away the exhaust manifolds, the cam, lifters, pushrods, timing chain & sprockets, flex-plate, the alt & AC mount bracket, the pump & crank pulleys, probably the water pump etc, etc. as all the above will be worn out or not fit a Pantera.
