Exotic car crash at Disney

From the video it appears the end of the guard rail structure had no energy absorbing barrels or foam blocks in place, nor utilized the style that buries the top rail into the ground creating a ramp rather than an immovable structure.

Seems a rather unsafe design for a race track catering to amateur, or even professional, drivers.

Noticed the same thing. I heard they had already planned on shutting down in June.

A friend of the instructor that was killed, posted on a blog that the event was running backwards on the track. Thus defeating the built in safeguards for the guardrailing.
