fan switch problem

Sorry if this has been asked before- but traced the wires from my a/c/ heater fan switch per the schematic - everything is hooked up correctly- but no power or fans dont come on.
The light on the speedo comes on - but no fans.
They worked before- but I took the 4 guage panel loose to replace my mechincal water temp guage and when I put it back now the fans dont work, thought maybe the wires came off the switch but no it didnt. Checked the fuses (TKO Panel) all OK so besdies the wire going diredctlky to tghe fans what else could it be ??? Bad switch now ??

I would definitely verify power in and out of the switch with a voltmeter or probe before changing it out unless you have a spare to plug in just for kicks.

If you've already checked the possibility that you may have knocked a connector off replacing one of your gauges, it's time to take a voltmeter and stick it along the circuit path to verify power.

Even though the indicator light in the speedo goes on with the switch, verify power first to the fan then go forward or backward from there depending on if there is or not. The circuit is not very complicated but finding the correct wire is the challenge.

Thx Liv1s well I will try the spare switch thingy first and then I will try to get this big body in that very small space and trace the wires
