Overall, this episode was a fairly accurate depiction of an interesting Pantera build, and worth a wait/watch for next week's conclusion episode.

It was also nice to see that the still very original Sam Foose "Dia Kosa 200" Pantera is back in good hands.

"This car was built for a man who saw a vehicle in Italy designed & built on an Alfa-Romeo drive train by Bertone Studios and wanted to buy it. Bertone would not sell it to him. It was called a Carabo by Bertone. So the man came back to California & hired Sam Foose, who is the father of the now well known Chip Foose. It is a one of a kind that is built on a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera drivetrain."

The show was interesting. I noticed the orange Pantera also. I would like to have purchased the pantera they bought for $28,500. It seemed like a very nice car. Maybe the sale was somewhat "staged" for TV.
I found it funny there was no mention of the pantera Chip Foose built or the one the show host Richard bought for $300,000

The Ring Bros Pantera is on loan to Peterson Auto Museum. It was there when we visited this past summer. Chips fathers car was at his shop as well. Chip is highly involved with the Peterson Museum so there is more to this relationship then we will ever see.
I really love the people on this site! The BASHING is in full swing over on the email list, yet most of the people here are, so far, acting respectful.

The build was March 2016. That was the timeframe I supplied many parts to this build.

People need to remember that this is a reality TV SHOW. They are going to do some outrageous stuff. But to say they are hacks is ridiculous. I wouldn't have a problem with any of them working on my car. Yes, there are a lot of shenanigans being done on the show. That is part of the popularity of the show.

comments on email list = BASHING = dis-respectful

Really, Scott???

I think you are being dis-respectful to your fellow owners by placing labels and names on them whenever their opinions don't jive with yours.

I was a little Suprised at what they called heavy rust and damage repair. In one instance they show the holes in the front valance. A lot of this seemed like normal Pantera repairs for a paint stripped Pantera. Anyone ever restore an average Pantera that didn't need the valance replsced, or some rocker and door jam work?

Even noticed on my cars I initially thought the back had been bumped on both but I think in retrospect the stress in the rear suspension migrates the tubs a little causing the rear to pull in.

Hi Gary,

They do this for the drama. They know it isn't that bad but it is good for the dramatics of the TV show.

What makes you think my opinion doesn't jive with theirs. I never gave an opinion. But if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be calling them hacks or the other comments being made. Yes, that is being respectful of someone else's work.. Weather I like it or not.

I didn't place a label on anyone. I simply pointed out the BASHING that was going on that isn't needed. OMG, every time a TV show does a Pantera certain people start bad mouthing the people on the show. Like they are hacks. Or, there is a special place in hell for these people. Looks like some Pantera people are labeling these folks building the car.

I know you won't agree so we will have to agree to disagree.

Have a good day!
Regardless of what they do with the car, Chip and RR have really introduced the Pantera to a lot of people who have never heard or seen one.

I've been driving mine a bit this year. I am amazed at how many people ask what it is then say they have only seen photos of them.

At a car show a girl about 12 years old asked if it was a DeLorean. I said no, a DeLorean is not a sports car, more of a parade car. She responded... on her own.."Yea that's why the put a Flux capacitor in them.....so they can get them up to 88mph!"

Funny stuff, sharp kid!
