I have a copy of the FIA homologation documents as well, and translated them into English for someone a few years back.

I'd have to dig around to find them, but if it will help, let me know.

This is simply a list of the specifications for a car from Group 3 in 1973. What do you need to do? Depends on where you want to race it.

Get a copy of the specs for the racing organization you are considering and that'll tell you what you need to do.
Charlie,

Yes i have them and translated them.

Ok, I want to race SVRA, so I went to their site downloaded the Gen Regs, (RBS) SCCA Roll bar specs and Sup Reg for DETOMASO 1967 -88. In the Detomaso sup regs it states ... Period FIA GROUP 4 & 5 mods as listed ... on FIA Reg Forms .. and needs to be rpovided to the TEch Director.

I have emailed a couple people includng Jack Woerle Tech Director SVRA so far only responce has been DAVE @ PI who has guided me to build a GROUP 3 car .... so as of now I'm trying to sort out a couple things.

1. Does SVRA require a car with a history ? Does a log book mean history ? I could get a blank one and write my own history !! LOL
2. Is SVRA the class I want to run .. The SVAR SUp Regs state the car will be in GR 5 , 6 or 10.

So in closing I have the copies of SVRA regs ... is that the road class I want to race ..who knows .. cant get a straight answer or a email from the organizations I emailed.

Never fear I dont give up easy.

I've never raced in SVRA, so take what I say with a grain or three of salt. But I don't think that your car needs to have any particular history. You can make up whatever you want to make your car more interesting :-)

It just needs to conform to the specifications called out in the class you want to run - G3, G4, G5, etc.

Matt Merritt prepared a car to run in SVRA and later sold it. Perhaps you could get in touch with him?
