A couple topics have come through about custom ducts albiet outside air ducts or inside brake ducts etc. I am making a duct for another car but thought I would show how the process is going.

First, is sorting out the dymentions for the plug:

Shaping the part:

Finishing the part:

This is as far as I have gotton on this part right now. The next step is to finish the part in a flawless manner. The part will be painted with automotive paint and shinned to a perfect finish. Then a 2 part mold will be made. The part will be layed up in the mold.

Yes, LPB, the plug only has to survive the making of the mold. It is stiff if I don't deliberatly put my finger through it. It made quick work of the mock up. If it had to be stronger I would have undersized it just a hare and fiberglassed it. The main thing is it will need to be finished to a mirror flawless finish.
