As the ad reads, there is NO filament to break! Because the 'High Intensity Discharge' works from a High Voltage 'Arc' to 'Excite' Xenon Gas; just like a SearchLight! That is why they are 'Pure White'. Also they will provide up to 3000 hours of life, with 3 times the Intensity of Halogen Bulbs, but Pull only 65% of the current draw. They are 100% street legal, even in California as long as they are mounted a Minimum of 22.0" from the surface of the ground! They are Still $399.95 at Summit Racing, so if you want them and can get them at 'Auto-Barn' for $287. I say; what are you waiting for? Go For It!! I beleive that I purchased the exact lighting system that I was looking for. Nothing else out there even comes close. I am very happy with the results! And I had to pay $400.!
