Dave,
What prepwork was involved with the alumablast? It really looks fantastic.
thanx,..........johnny, while the ZF was out, i pressure washed it to remove any heavy dirt and grease, i then media blastes it(very CAREFULLY masking any and all openings into trans!), after that i washed the trans down with clean water and detergent, then blew all the water off with compressed air, this gave me a nice clean surface for the paint to adhere to, ...alumablast is available in pints or aerosol, i used aerosol (3-4coats), goes on smooth and even, and its very easy to touch up, i chose not to clear it, (i prefer the matte finish over shiny) i then replaced side cover and pan gaskets, safety wired it and detailed it with eastwoods underhood black, all the stainless hardware is from HALL pantera..........hope this helps...........DAVE
