Several months back I wrote "Saturday Morning Terrror" in this post. Tomorrow is Saturday...I say...Fire Up the Beast!. The best publicity for Panteras and their continuing rise in value is YOUR car crusing the streets. I love early saturday and sunday mornings, traffic is light, and the air is cool. Go ahead! Jerk a few necks in the morning...even if it is only a 25 minute ride. I guarantee you will inspire someone to think..."mmmm, one day I will own one of those".
Besides, after a longs weeks work, treat yourself. The beast beckons you to DRIVE IT!!

Man, I've been telling myself that for the last 25 years. Some day...

I did check out a Pantera my mother's friend has. Her late husband owned it (actually 2 at one time), and it's in very nice condition. Her son would probably poo-poo any selling of it though, but she said it was nice to know I wanted it if she ever does sell it. Funny to hear an over-60 year old woman with a thick German accent discuss 351 Clevelands, ZF transaxles, etc. Very nice lady. BTW, her son lives in Europe and has a GT40 she says. I have no reason to doubt her.

Sorry to get off on a tangent.
Ok you got me inspired .. tomorrow Am I fire up 9138 and head NORTH to a place in NY where you may think BIG CITY but actually no ... its a big PARK LAND set aside by a very wealthy man named HARRIMAN .. the roads are winding and fast thru heavy forest ... the sound echo's for miles .... and all I can think is .. I cant wait until the morning to take 9138 NORTH and open her up .......
Turbo Tim has the right idea! I drive my car to work every Saturday morning (weather permitting)& always get several "thumbs up". Today I had a couple of guys in a Jeep catch up to me & the passenger was clicking away with his camera phone. It's great to not be driving a "belly button" car!!
We drive our every week. Love to go thru the local towns in the early evening with their outdoor cafe's and watch evryone stop eating as we cruse thru setting a car alarm off here and thereSmiler Also the final coat of wax goes on today and then several of us will leave Wednesday for Monterey to have tons of fun in mass!!! Hope to see many of you there.
I went to a Maguire's all day car clinic today on detailing. I was looking forward to driving the Pantera (especially since I knew there were going to be a lot of Vipers and Corvettes. Woke up at 1:30am and it is pouring out, woke up again at 3:30am and still pouring out. When I woke up it had stopped, but I live on a dirt road and figures it would be too muddy. So I left driving the truck and drove two miles and decided to go back and get the Pantera. The weather was beautiful at 7:00am and still cool! Of course on the way home it was 100+ and humid from the rain, but it was worth it. I always love watching the Vette and Viper guys checking out the Pantera and the thumbs up you get from people driving by.
