I have seen pics of dashboards with what appears to be a metal strip used as a hold down for the lifting vinyl condition. Does anyone have any knowledge and a source for that?

They are hollow metal trim strips, extrusions, I believe aluminum, painted flat black and contain floating studs. They get attached from the backside, underneath the dash.
They are refered to as a "blind" installation since there are no exposed fasteners.
They are made to length for this application as the ends are finished, not cut.
