We lost 2 airshow performers this weekend in CA. One was Jimmy Franklen:

I have seen Jimmy Franklen a couple times at airshows since the 1980's. The guy was a spectacular airshow pilot. I watched him do rolling circles bellow tree top level so close to the trees the trees would lay down from the propwash as he went by. His fist solo was "unoficial". When his dad drove to town one day when he was a young kid, he hopped in the airplane and took it for a joy ride. An absolute legend.
