Thanks George for the support. It means a lot brother. You know, if I did ever sell the Pantera, which I'm not going to, but if I did, I'd have to keep the Air Cleaner hold down knob, that's for sure.... :-)

Wow. Somehow I missed all of this thread and just read it now. I'm kind of glad actually, I don't think I could have handled the stress of waiting to see how it played out. I couldn't imagine Jim and no Pantera. I think a black Diablo will make an incredible stable-mate and I hope it all works out with the bank. Jim, I join the rest of the guys here who are glad we won't be losing you!
Dave,

The Coutach, the Diablo, the Murcielago, even the Gallardo, are very angular, very exotic looking sports cars. I love them all.

But there is a special place in my heart for the Miura. I know Coz agrees with me on this.

Too bad the Lambo & DeTomaso communities don't mix more than we do. Both makes are kind of the bad boys of Italy, challengers to Ferrari. I love the story of the events leading to Ferruccio Lamborghini's decision to manufacture cars. Both companies also have a bit of Lee Iacoca in their histories.

Absolutely George.
It is a car I very much wish I still had, and not becasue of the current value, but for what it was in it's time and still is today.
In all the cars I've had, it was by far my biggest mistake letting it get away from me, just as it would have been letting my Pantera go.

I'm not making that mistake twice. :-)
