We just lost our pitbull that was a news story here locally... Some "person" tried to cut her head off with a machete, you can see in this photo where the blade clipped off her ear. If you google "sooki the pitbull" you will see her. We tracked her down, they inspected our residence, warned us that she was evidence and property of the court and not to get attached to her. Of course, we fell right in love with her. We did end up owning her but that is another story.
I learned so much from that dog, she was an American classic of the highest caliber. She watched and served constantly, if my wife was in her office the dog would sit there with her back to my wife facing the door watching for anything.
Pitbulls are the most abused dogs in the world. They are also the best dogs in the world, gentle, emotional and have no desire to disappoint you.
The pounds across the country are over 75% bully dogs, usually much higher.

They only know what you teach them and some POS "people" teach them to be mean.

Known as "nanny dogs" they gravitate toward the children and are incredibly smart.

The hand of God is every dog, and pitbulls are his greatest masterpiece.

If you're lonely or have love to share, go save a pitbull. It will change your life....

As you can see, they will do anything for you....

We had to put ol' Rose (we changed her name from Sooki) to sleep. I was gutted, I still love her, I still miss her, and I am so glad to have that experience with her.

It's hard, but when you get the full life span from your dog, you have to try to remember, it doesn't get any better than that. You both got a good deal... It still hurts, but it just doesn't get any better than a full life of love and joy... O'l Rose was imprisoned on a chain, starved and abused, forced to breed so some scumbag could make a few bucks. Even so, just like most pitbulls, she was forgiving and still loved all people...
I invite everyone to go watch properly homed and raised pitbull videos, and think of them chained up on the wrong side of the tracks some cold night.
If you want mercy, have mercy.
Like most of us on this forum, my wife and I are blessed and we want for nothing... almost nothing.
The only reason I play the lottery, the only reason... Is so I can build a pitbull ranch for abused pitbulls to somehow try and redeem the human race.

Up until a few years ago, I was uneducated and ignorant about pitbulls.
Since doing quite a bit of research, I would most certainly get a bully for my next family dog.
Its sad what the media has done to make pits look bad.
I now have a bull-pei. A lot of people think he's a pit. Ive had quite a few people ask " why would you have a dog like that"? I just laugh at them and walk away.
