I am home today. Beginning this time of year we have these birds which constantly bang on the windows. There is one not 2 feet from me right now banging and banging on the glass. It is grey with some red feathers and an orange beak. These things even wake us up on weekends. They must see something in the glass. I originally thought it was just a single nutcase bird but these are different birds of the same types.

I am going to introduce him to my 20ga pretty soon!

Hold on Gary! You need to contact DNR, Federal Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, Federal Dept. of Endangered Species, The Indiana Dept of Conservation, Federal Dept of Flood Control (their nests probably help the beavers control flooding). After that call your local Sheriff. Make sure all applicable forms are dated, signed and notorized. Make three copies.

After that, blast the SOBs away!!!
...We use to have a couple of Blue 'Scrub Jays' (birds), living in the Canphor Tree in our front yard. They would 'Dive-Bomb' our Cats constantly, day in and day out for Weeks on End! The Cats were in a state of fear to even go outside! One day I arrived home from work to find, on the Entrance WalkWay, a pile of Blue feathers and the remains of ONE leg. This has happened More than Once! End of Story!!...

Flying in I landed in a thick wet snow event. The snow coming down was wet but heavy. Visibility poor. I turned off the runway onto the taxi way. The taxi way was plowed but narrow. I have to keep the propellers of the turboprop away from the snow ridges because I have about 12" clearance.

I see a very small mound of snow in the way of the right prop. No problem, 5" max height. As I go over "Woosh" into the prop. What the hey?

I get to the next one on the left. I scrutinize this even more. Absolutely no more then 5" clearance assured. "Woosh" in the prop. WHAT THE HEY!

Props are slow and you just hear it spread across the nose a bit. Very similar to ice shed from the blades in flight.

I taxi in, tell my passengers goodbye, walk around to the front, DOVE PARTS EVERYWHERE!!! It was not a small snow mound but quick made nest doves made. When the props got over them they jumped up!!

What a mess.
