That looks like a very good block, and the price is very reasonable!

But a .005" shorter timing chain? Really?

I can just see talking to the guys at the local AP store......with this one....

Also, they do not mention where to source head gaskets from??????? With an extra two bolts per cylinder, they don't sound like something that is easy to drum up....

What do you do if you are running aftermarket ie Edelbrock aluminum heads???

Steve
Thanks Steve.
I asked the seller some questions, and his reply was not very clear to me ( but I am not an engine builder....)In fact, he sent me back to the manufacturer's website....
It seems cheap, but if you have to remanufacture everything, you're better off with a Dart or Fontana block, aren't you ?

Pat,

Hard to tell????

I get the impression that it is new.

Was he saying that you still need to do more machining???

Perhaps lots of special parts....will be needed... indexed lifters??? but to me it reads like the machining is done....

I don't know enuf about the exotic racing stuff to be able to comment much further unfortunately! Still stuck in cast iron land!

Steve
Extra head bolts are optional for v. high compresssion/HP motors. They do not affect gasket choice as they are at the outer edge. These blocks are basically 100% compatible with std Ford 351 parts.

Shame they don't do a 9.2" deck height in Aluminum.
