Hi guys,

A quick note to say hi. I am looking to locate and purchase a Pantera for a group 4 conversion. I have been interested in Panteras since I was a kid in the 70's and have had numerous "modern" performance cars, but nothing with the soul of the Pantera.

I look forward to taking part in your great group.

You will find that the Pantera is a great car to own. Everyone seems drawn to them and yet it doesn't have the intimidating, snooty air that some other Italian exotics have.

Converting a car to a Group 4 is a lot of work. You should seriously consider looking for one already done as it may turn out to be cheaper as a starting point. One recently sold for a very reasonable $45K. Good luck in your quest.

I was thinking maybe the same for the Group 4 conversion (buy already converted), I found one that looks very well done in California but it seems over priced ($74K). Steel flairs carbon hood an deck lid, but the still have the original hood & deck. Basically everything is replaced or rebuilt and the restoration was done by DRB Performance in CA. It's been maintained by Wilkinson Pantera in LA.

$74 is a lot though
