Hey folks,

Its been a while since I expresed my feelings about you all. I spoke with a member this afternoon on the telephone, a fellow who has been active on these forums for several years, he mentioned how the forums have grown and matured. There's a sense of community here. Good information and assistance is provided quickly. People are brought together, friendships are formed, events are planned. News is broadcast. These forums have become an important asset to this hobby. Membership and activity continues to grow.

I'd like to mention the "heated" exchange that recently took place in Alejandro's Neighborhood Pub, in the Global Cooling thread. Before any members get the impression that there are any serious factions within this comunity that separate us, I'd like to point out that politically disagreeing members like Garth & Larry, would not think twice about stopping to lend the other assistance if the need arose while caravaning together out on the highway. This is a very real example, because Garth and Larry are both members of the same POCA chapter. I know that Gary (comp2) and Ron (accobra) feel the same way as well. These are guys who contribute to this community and go out of their ways to assist other members. Our heated exchanges here are obviously not serious enough to separate us, which says a lot about all of you, this community of Pantera owners.

The Pantera is a great sports car. And you are a great community of passionate car owners. I am very proud to be associated with all of you. I love you guys, you're like family. You make all the effort we put into this club worth while.

Everyone have a great week. Spring will soon be here in the northern hemisphere, and fall will soon begin in the southern hemisphere. Those are the driving seasons. So get your cars ready. Soon the fun begins. Don't forget to share your passion every chance you get.

George

I, like many others in this community, visit other forums from time to time. Most of them are down right deplorable! They curse, name call, and seriously ridicule one another. Cavemen would act more civilized. On some other 'uppity' forums, the competion for who has the biggest and best prohibits cohesion of the membership.

I find this forum to be the best there is in terms of respect, cohesion, comaraderie, positiveness, etc. Our membership is genuinely happy for one anothers accomplishments, and rally around the pitfalls to help one climb out. Even disagreements are handled properly (with very few exceptions). I certainly don't feel alone with my Pantera.

Participating in this forum is half the enjoyment (and a tremendous asset) of Pantera ownership.

Wow! I didn't know the Global Cooling thread heated up like it did. See what happens when you take off to Tahoe to go snowboarding with your son!

Seriously, I consider Larry a brother and a good friend. And as George mentioned, there's nothing I wouldn't do to help him out, and I'm sure he'd do the same for me.

We all have a shared passion which crosses all social, political, economic, and cultural boundaries. That's what makes our DT community so great! I appreciate this forum and everyone who contributes.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their ideas, tips, techniques, laughter, how-to's, and updates on their own projects or event pics. And thank you George for providing us a place to meet. This forum is an important part of my day (every day that I'm not snowboarding) and I appreciate all of my DeTomaso brothers here.
