I read an earlier post about the emergency loop and cord that unlocks the front hood. I have a 72 and have not been able to find it. Here is a pic of my latch ( needs to be cleaned). Where would it attach to the latch so I can add one?

Here's my dilemma
I can see where the back-up cable is attached.
It makes sense that it attaches where the main cable does.
I haven't really looked hard under the dash ( one day I will ) but I cannot locate the other end of the Back-up cable.

P.S. Clean and lube your release soon. The potential problem is devastating.
