While were on the topic of big changes, does anyone make a fuel cell specicfially for the Pantera or hav people just been throwing aftermarket cells in the front?
I just got oof the phone with ATL and they advertise that they will repro vintage fuel cells for any car. I will see if I can stop there this week and get back to you. Anything specifically your looking for. Are you looking to duplicate the original or maybe look at their site and choose soemthing.
Ron, Excuse if I don't read this right.. but I think gary's intentions are to put the fuel cell in the front trunk area. Thus leaving room in the rear for other stuff.
Yea that what I thought first until he asked if there is one specific for Pantera ?? Aftermarket cells ... rectanglular fit in the front. Specific for Pantera .. ATL will make it. Cost thats another story. LOL Ron
You can look at there catalog on line and it clearly shows tanks made for vintage autos. I know heir product is top of the line. I also agree the front is the best place for the gas tank .. but right side ??? what did you have in mind ??
What would be really cool is the Rocker panels as gas tanks ?? some one said Porsche utilizes rocker panels as coolant tubes ?? Ron
Well, with the roll bar in the engine bay I will probably have to fab a new fuel tank (asuming I don't put the fuel tank in the front). I want to utilize the vent with a fan and a duct for an oil cooler. I don't like the oil cooler on the right side because the lines end up being too long so I plan on putting that on the left. Tank on right or in the front. I got to fab it anyway so it's not a big deal.
Do you know which tank people are putting in the front? I looked at the ATL web site. I will probably call them when I get to that point.
