I have on my Pantera an electric fuel pump (red Holley) installed directly connected to a 750 CFM Holley. I have seen that some Pantera owners have installed a fuel pressure control device and a fuel return line. I was wondering about the benefits of this modification. Is it worth implementing this modification and what is your own experience related to the benefits?

The benefit of a fuel return line is that it helps to the eliminate fuel boiler over problem that can happen on some Panteras when the engine is shut off on a hot day, then restarted. I had one on my car for many years and it worked and the engine was never starved for fuel at high rpm.
You don’t mention anything about a fuel filter in your system?
A return line is definitely needed on a high pressure fuel injected engine. Generally not installed on a carbureted engine as long as pressure is kept around five or six psi.
as mentioned above it could provide relief from boil over on a heat soaked engine and a return line is not likely to cause any problems.
