OK, let's see what type of wildlife Pantera owners surround themselves with, are you a dog person, a cat person, a bird, fish, or chinchilla person, or perhaps something more exotic?

Here's the latest addition to our household; a Duck Toller (Rusty) ...

'Furry' friends or any pets? I don't just work on our Pantera; Judy & I live in a 'zoo' with two 100-lb dogs (one a wolf/husky), four cats, a Guinie pig, three parrots, two tortoises (one half grown at 75 lbs), 5 geckos and 30 snakes of 20 different species. Basic Rule of The House: Don't bite me too much and I'll keep feeding you...
Well,

I guess I should add my "boys" to the list so as to balance out all the dogs (although I LOVE Italian greyhounds and Whippets...).

Here are my two cats. They share the house with 4 budgies, two Gerbils and a herd of Degus (Chilean rodents). The cats are scared silly of the birds and as you can see, are best at just lying around recovering from long nights of keeping me awake.

And just to show that cats are naturally drawn to Panteras, this was a roaming kitty that thought he'd found his proper place in life — on my hood.

...Hey! Reptiles Don't have Fur!
Maybe in Their Mouths when they are Eating some Small Critter!LOL

Here at the 'Manteca CAT Ranch'; the Most cats that ever OWNED US was 21!! 'Outside' Cats! 2 Litters That Year! ALL of our Cats, NOW are 'Fixed'! We Have only 5 Now.
In the Past, Most Cats were Given to Good Homes, Or Eventually, Just Wandered off, were 'Run Over' by cars out in the Front Street, Died of Natural Causes OR Birth Defects, Or were 'Cat-Napped', because They were so Cute! Two Kittens come to Mind. One was Born with the 'Cord' stuck to it's tail, causing the Tail to Develope Into a 'Cork-Screw' with No less than 3 Coils. The Second Kitten was SOO Cute and Rare!! As it Had NO Tail at All. I'am Not talking a 'Manx' Tail, But Absolutely NO Signs of a Tail, At All!
I'll Never forget the Time this Kitten was 'Nosing' Around and Saw Itself in a Mirror. It Hissed and Puffed it's No-Tail Rearend Fur, Up into what resembled a Large 'CottonBall'!
The wife and I were Just Howling with Laughter! This Kitten Resembled the Perfect Little All Brown, 'Teddy-Bear'. One day It just Dissappeared, never to be seen again. Ofcorse, we Do have Owls Around Here!?

NOW, Here; Introducing from left to Right, 'Chui' (Pronounced Chewy) and 'Raggs'.
You can See, They are Very Excited to Be Here and Meet You!!

We always named Our Cats, as the 'Native Americans' would do; Named after what the Human Being was 'Doing' when the Natives First Laid Eyes On Them.

I Named Raggs, Because Her Fur Coat Looked as if GOD had given All the Other Cats their Fur...and when it was Raggs' turn, all that was leftover, were the 'Scraps'(Not a Bad Name in Itself)! The Wife wanted to name Her 'Patches', I wanted It to be One Syllable. It's a Beautiful, Mixed-Up 'Show-Stopping', Tabby Coat! Raggs is the Most Loving, Amorous Cat I have ever Met! She follows Me everywhere, does tricks, and Talks to Me. Very Intelligent! She has Discovered the Concept of the 'Ray' from One Point to Infinity! The Only Cat, I've Known, that 'Connects' the Clicking of the Pushbutton Switch, on a Little Hand-held Laser, to the Actual 'Red Spot' on the Floor/Wall. They Go absolutely Nuts chasing that 'Laser-Bug'! I Have them chase it All Around and then to a Little 'KeyHole' or 'Pocket' Between or Under Funiture...THEN Shut the Beam OFF Quickly; So they think the 'Bug' is Hiding In There. They will wait at the Keyhole for Hours, just Hopng that Critter will come Out! Weeks Later, when walking by the 'Hiding Place' the Cat will Glance over at it, Just-In-case that Laser-Bug Might try to 'Start Something'. Raggs NO Longer chases the Bug; When she hears the 'Click' she Just sits there and stares at what I have in My Hand! I'am Raggs' Pet! She Has Me 'Jump Through Hoops' For Her!

Now Chui, a Pure Tabby..."Why do 'They' call You Chewy??" "OUCHHH" "D**N!!!". From the First day Chui was Born, She would Chew on Your Fingers, and She was SERIOUS!! With Teeth Like Needles! Her Full Name is 'Chui Neddles'. She Chases the Laser Bug But gives-Up on it Early. She has not Discovered the Bug is Created from a Beam of Light!
Chui is the 'Official' Shop Cat, Only because She Knows How to Walk on the Pantera Fenders and Roof, Without using her Claws and leaving a Mark!! Walking on Her Pads. She sleeps On a Blanket on the Roof of the Pantera and Keeps Me Company. She is a Good 'Ratter' and searches around/under the WorkBenches for any signs of Creatures that should Not be in there! In over 22 Years there has never been any evidence of Rats or Mice! She is the ONLY Cat that has EVER been allowed in the Shop, She has Never 'Marked Her Territory'!! Chui Owns My Son Tristan! And when Tristan is Good, He gets to Sleep on Chuis' Bed!

Both Chui and Raggs are 'Inside' Cats and Sleep on our Bed. When they are Good they get Feline 'Treats'. We Pray they never get Upset and Kill Us in Our Sleep!LOL

Don't get Me Wrong, I DO Love Dogs!! I once rescued a Full Grown German Sheperd, Pure, 'Black and Tan'; from the Berkeley Pound, the Very Day He was to be Put to Sleep! !974. 'Adam' Lived 6 more Years after that.
Adam was So Large! Over 100 Pounds! I am 6'6" and Adam would stand on his Hind Legs, Put His Paws On My Shoulders and Could Look Me Straight in the Eye!! His Paws were Huge!! Over 3 inches across. I Nicknamed Adam, 'GrizzlyBear'!
In The Early years, We Lived in Oakland, Ca...My Home was Never Broken-In-To!! I Loved That Dog, I miss Him Greatly! And Adam Loved Me! One of the very Few Friends this Returning Nam-Vet, Student; Ever Had!
He had been suffering from Cancer for awhile, suddenly got worse and the Wife HAD TO have him 'Put-Down'(With My Blessing); while I was Up In Lake Oswego,OR., Visiting My Father. I was not going to Have Adam wait until I could Drive back Home. I Never had the Chance to Tell Adam Goodbye, I Still Tear-Up when I think about Him. Adam was My Best Friend! Dad Passed Away a few Years Later...

Our Furry Friends Give Us Someone to Live For! They Truely ARE Our 'Lifelong Companions'!
