The only problem i see. if your car gets damaged it will be more than a door ding. What if it rolls off the retriver and falls 100 ft to its death!

What happens when the elevator fails or the electricity goes out?

Is that German or Dutch Engineering?? I seen that on the Highway out side Amsterdam for the SMART CAR something very similiar, maybe not that tall.

Keep in mind Europe has very different laws .. when someone gets hurt .. if you sue and lose you have to pay all of the legal cost for both sides.

I agree the Engineering is spectatular but American LEGAL limits anyone with a brain and good ideas. A town near me on the river, they wanted to build a parking garage with a Ferry stop and the genuises shot it down .. now the store owners wonder why they are starving and going out of business.

Great Idea for NYC PArking problem.

I have seen retrival systems similar to this. They have small parts in boxes, you walk up to a window and put in the location code and the machine gets your box of parts and delivers it to the window. Kinda of a unmanned wherehouse.

Its funny I was in downtown NYC today, parked in a lot right smack between to mini sky scrapers....Ahh the possibilities if I had the $$$$

Very cool technology. But tell me honestly, if you drove your Pantera into a downtown skyscraper, looked up and saw that awesome technology, and then some guy in a nice uniform came over and said, "Don't worry Sir, just leave it there. It's all automatic."

I'd like to hot rod the motor that turns the central platform elevator, see if we can't get it to sling those VeeDubs like frisbees!

If they said 5 bucks then would you do it.

I think I would because down in Lower NYC there are some garages with elevators that look like they are 100 years old or maybe older and my car has been damamged many times.

I like the technology Europe is comingup with these days it sleek, simple, efficient, cost effective, .....

Anybody seen the SMART CAR ??? You can back into a spot on the street perpendicular to the curb ... LOL Really cool.
