The original is on tonight on speedvision. I thought that movie much better thent he original. The movie was shot by a guy without much capital who was not part of big guys in the movie industry. He did a lot of interesting things like shut down active roads to film without permits. He did much of this on sundays because when the cops would check their paperwork the court house was not open and no one could verify permits.

On one scene where the chaise goes through the Cadalac dealership, they had a couple junk cadalacks in front of new Cads for a wreck scene. The guy hit the junk Cads so hard he drove them into 2 good Cads. If they have the documentery that goes with it tonight it is quite interesting.

He was killed filming Gone in 60 sec number 2.

I watched it. Truly an independant movie maker. I also found Earl Owensby, he did several car chase movies as an indy film maker. Many, he used Panteras, Manhunter was the name of one. He went on to buy the defunct nuclear plant in Shelby NC and turned it into a film studio. They filled the reactor with water a filmed one of those underwater movies just 10 years ago.Owensby sold tools off a truck and invented some kind of tool that made him enough money to star in his own movies. All B movies. You don't have to have Hollywood. Just crash some Panteras.
