Good luck! Adapting a different stering wheel to a Panterra is difficult unless you own a machine shop. The wheel adapter, normally a 3/4" thick plate on most cars, is some 4-1/2" thick on a Pantera and replaces the whole corrugated section under the shield. MOMO and one other mfgr make/made such adapters but never sold them separately from their wheels. You may be better off trying to find a MOMO assembly and adapting the tricky electronics to it rather than trying to use the Grant assembly. Needless to say, using parts of both units will be pricey....
Gary, if I were going to do this adaption; I would purchase the Pantera HUB from one of the vendors,(I believe Hall Pantera will sell a hub separately), and then Modify/Machine the hub to fit your Grant wheel perfectly. If you were anywhere near Manteca, California, I would welcome you into my shop to do the job. The actual setting-up would take much more time than the operation itself. Good-Luck with it! There's nothing better than a custom steering wheel in a Pantera. Myself, I chose the LeCarrea "Thick Grip". Hall sells them. All the best, Marlin.
thanks for the replies and the offer Marlin! I currently have a Lecarra thick grip on my car also I contacted Grant about an adaptor for a Grant wheel to a lecarra Hub and they sell one so I ordered it It adapts a 5 hole Grant wheel to a Lecarra hub. Since the RF switch mounts with 5 bolts I may be able to mount the switch directly to my Lecarra wheel. I am looking to control some things that I don't want to drill holes for. Vintage Air makes electric heater shutoff valves, my fog lights and the 2 oil temp senders so I can report back on the difference in temp. between the pan and the block. The adaptor is due in Tuesday, I'll report back.
