The web site is fiskeusa They have never made rims for a group 4 that I know of They are very spendy I will have a alot tied up in rims I will have to wait to give you all the deminsions But I can tell you they can only go as wide as 12.5 in the back for my application Which I believe it will be plenty wide. I have new hats wildwood rotors with 6 piston brakes built by Pantera Performance in castle rock I will get back with you and let you know the style and deminsions dave
I have a folder of various photos of over 21 different Group 4 cars & will try and send some to your email later (especially some of the various front ends) From what I understand, the vendor you have selected is real good at conversions. I am sure you are doing metal fenders. Too bad you have to cut a stock car rather than buy a conversion, but it is your car and this way you can make sure it is built the way you want it. Here are a few Group 4 cars to look at:

Im debating wheel types and sizes as well for my GT5 conversion car.Ive pretty much settled on 17x12 and 17x9.5.The tires will be 335/35/17 and 275/40/17.the widest street tire i have found is 335 for a 17,and i dont like the look of the 335 on a 13 inch wheel.I prefer a slight sidewall bulge on my tires. They do make a 345 in the 18 inch sizes but it is really tight for clearance on a gt5 but it might be better on a gt4.
i have a set of flares ready to install on my car. I sized them up to the stock body and they are quite wide. I have 345 tires mounted on 15x12s on the car and they don't look like they will fill the wheel wells.

It also looks like the wheel is so far off center of the hole that it almost rubs on the rear of the tire. I am not sure if I am just not setting them correctly onto the uncut body. Any suggestions?

thanks!
I am having a experienced pantera shop put the flares on I have heard that it is not easy to have them aligned on the body and wheel. Though proper shock height is very important I had bought the new steel konis I now have to switch them with the aluminium konis that can accept a shorter rod To control total ride height for the pantera
(Greg) Jacobs asked for suggestions on fitting his flares, as they don't seem to be fitting correctly.

Now, normally I'd hold my tongue,(yea, right) but since you asked :-))

Fit them into boxes prior to sending them to the new owners you find on eBay, sell off the too wide for stock fenders/too narrow for GRP 4 flares wheel/tire combo you have and use all that money to buy 17" wheels and tires that give you just as much rubber-meets-the-road footprints and retain the stock body lines. Then we can get going on swapping in your new motor and go for another run up Novato way :-))

You know I luvya Greg...

wheels and tires and ride height are fine. My question is about placement of the flares and fitment on the body. The wheels will never center on the fender as they are bias to the rear. I have the wheels and tires for the conversion. 15x10 front and 15x12 rear.

The question is about the open space around the tire once the flare is fitted to the car. Also, opinions as to the distance between the sidwall of the tire and the lip on a horizontal measurement is also requested. I have about 2 inches on this plane.
King,

If you just want some meat to hold you to the road, you can fit those 335/35X17" on an 11" rim completely inside the stock wheelwells by using Pantera East's Campy clones. You do not need to flare the car to get the wide tire benefit. IF you also want the wide body look, fine. Just don't want to see you cutting and welding unnecessarily. You'll need one heck of an offset for those 335/35's to fill a GRP4 flare.

Larry
Greg -
I just noticed that you said you are thinking about 15" rims! Regardless of other people's opinions as to whether you should chop up your car or not, I would HIGHLY suggest you get yourself a different set of rims... Take it from someone who still has Campy 15"s that it is near impossible to find tires for them, and if you can they are a fortune.

You'll be way ahead going to 17" rims, for example. You'll be able to buy tires for it anywhere and at much better prices.

Greg, which flares do you have?gt5/gt4/gts or something else?.The gt5 flares do not center on the old wheel openings. Its been along time since i mounted mine but i believe i mounted mine a little towards the rear.My car might be special(arent they all)since mine used to have gts flares. Will you be at the next PCNC meeting at Cocos?Ill try and make it and you could look at mine and get some ideas.
garngt5,

thanks for the note. I will bring the car and one rear flare for test fitting against the body. They are the group 4 fiberglass flares that will bolt on. They are painted to match the car and ready to go. I just cant see them fitting against the body. They are molded in a way that would indicate that will not work on any car. Very odd. They cause the wheel to be bias to the rear of the opening. Almost to the point of contact with the flare itself

On the 15 inch tires/wheels....

the rears are 345/35s I can get those all day long. I have fitted 245/50s for the front and with a 5.5 offset they will fill the wells. The centerline is still ok inside the wheel. the front flares are not as wide as the rears. hence, better fitment.

At the risk of being too late to influence you, Jim Saxton of TPOC in So-Cal has a beautifully done sky-blue GR 4 conversion that is completely rigged for open track racing, that has been for sale off-and-on for several years. Around $55K which may be less than a good conversion would cost you, and this one, with its included trailer, could probably be had tomorrow, not a year down the road. Then you wouldn't have to chop up this car. Just a suggestion.
