Actually for a real GP4 car I'd say it's a lot on the LOW side as GP4's have been selling in the $250K range at auction. Even GP4 conversions with HTP papers are in the EU175K range. That said I do not know the specific history of this car.

Philippe Olczyk was selling this car through VDV Grant in Belgium for some time.

Well it is no longer at $18k... Agree with Julian that it is still considerably under market value and I would expect it to sell for quite a bit more.

I recognize the serial number as a factory GR4, and I know I've read the history of the car on more than one occasion but unlike, well, certain members of our community don't have memorized the history by serial number! So those interested in a real Gr4 car, here's your opportunity! The history is out there and its documented and should be easy to find for those interested...

Looking at the bidding, the same bidder has bid it up from GBP18K to GBP150K, so appears to be some manipulation in play.

Well, if I had a car of that caliber and want to find the real current market value, meaning not a number listed in a guide but what a buyer would be ready to pay, I might do the same thing.

At the same time, if I was a guy wanting to sell in a bad market. A preliminary "auction" where the price is artificially inflated and publicized at 400K may look like a "deal" a month later for only 350K to the gotta-have-it-now more-money-than-brains crowd. Seriously, these guys are out there. 250K for a customized '58 Vette? Sometimes love clouds the big picture. I have a friend that is a die-hard Mopar guy, with a hardon for 'Cudas. Currently he has 4, 2 AAR's, a '70 440-6, and an every-option (sans hemi) dealer demo '71 convertible. In his mind these cars will never depriciate, I think he bought at the peak of the market.

But who am I to talk. They say the car hobby is for two types, the rich and the foolish.........and I sure ain't rich.
