GTS Airdam

NOBODY has a GTS airdam????

Do you have any photos of how it fits?

No. unfortunately I don't the car is stripped down for paint at the moment.
I see plenty of Panteras with this airdam and most of them fit perectly. I can't believe that no one knows who makes the airdam on their cars!!???

So your thinking of buying another one instead of making this one fit?

I know there is enough variance car to car that some time fitment on these type of things can be touch and go. My deck lid is that way and will need a lot of work for fitment.

Can you cut the top edge back where it meets the fender, bolt it up, and re-fiberglass the pieces together?

Is this the spoiler you have? ( see avitar)

Mine is steel and the fit was poor out of the box. I ended up taking it to a bodyshop to make it fit the way you see it. The bodyshop guy asked me if the spoiler was supposed to go on the car or not. That tells you somesthing about how much trouble it was.

That's exactly correct. I don't really enjoy 'glass work or the mess that comes along with it. I did manage to find a picture that shows the fitment.

about 3/4 of the way down the page. I liked it because it is a steel one. We used black door edge guard material between the top of the spoiler and the car body as an insulator and painted it to match the car. I wasn't in the mood to weld the spoiler to the body and repaint the whloe front clip so this worked out prettty good.

Are you talking about the spoiler on the black car in the photo?

BTW I followed your 40 build on the Gt40's site.
Good work on that car. Wheels look nice, I liked the black ones also.

Your car looks so mean and hard with the black wheels and hoosier slicks! Love that look! I have $10K for you if you want to sell?...

Mine is a factory spoiler and fits Ok .. maybe this will help with the positioning a picture of mine .. this could be a factor of its fitment ?

I don't think that they worried too much about the fit on the top because that is a detail that you don't see well unless you lay on the floor and look up. Mine fits like Ron's does.

I don't know who made it. I got it either from Pantera Performance or Hall. Can't remember.

My GTS chin spoiler/ air damn/ curb feeler is from Precision Proformance so it is probably the same source as yours. Bob Byers told me it was a cut to fit install. He put the rough white chalk mark on the upper corner to show what needs to be trimed to fit the uniqueness of the individual car. The shop doing my paint fit the fiberglass to the front end end even beefed up the mounting tabs. The fiber glass guy had done several of these and finished the modifications before I even knew it needed it.
