I bought a set of Piaa 002 lights and I want to mount them into the GTS front spoiler.
The problem is that although they fit into the 2-1/2" brake duct holes they cannot be aimed properly because of the contour of original sheet steel nose around the radiator.
Before I go cutting up the spoiler to fit the lights is there anyone out there that has already done this or made a new fiberglass chin spoiler to fit the lights or whatever?

Doug,

I'm not sure what your objective is with the lights in the spoiler i.e. are you looking for additional and useful night light on the road or just some daytime driving lights? If the former I suggest you connect one up and see what sort of light profile you get. The PIAA 002 has quite a wide beam and I suspect it won't light up much road at that height. I have the same lights mounted in the impact bumper shock holes (purely a means to 'fill the hole' temporarily) and even at that height they only light up about 10 ft in front of the car without being too high for oncoming traffic, however as pure daytime driving lights they do provide visibility...as if you need to be more visible in the P car Big Grin

Good luck
Julian
Jan,

I made up a 'T' shaped bracket that bolted to the two studs where the bumper shock had previously mounted to. A little trial and error was involved as always, but it wasn't hard, other than getting your hand in there up through the wheel/fender well.
