Guaras in the USA

I only know of two in the US - Steve Wilkinson's in California (the only one Street legal asaik) and a track-only Guara owned by Joe Moore on the East Coast. Never heard of one in Michigan. That doesn't mean that there isn't one, but I've never heard of it

Joe Moore has 1 in NJ. Red in color.

I think this was Wilkinson http://www.pim.net/Guara2011.html I also think it was title as a kit car to get it street legal. Joe Moore car is title as a Guara and is power by BMW from DeTomaso. It was blue and I think SN 2 or 3.

Is the owner of the Guara on this site, or another way that I can contact him?


I am doing a Volume 2 of my Tribute to Pop up Headlights video, and the Guara is strong on my bucket list of cars to include. Unless there is another one in Europe who can take a couple quick video clips?

I'm also looking to include a Mangusta and a Pantera Si.

Don't forget the mighty isuzu impulse / piazza. It kinda had pop ups

IIRC there are no Si's in the United States. the closet you can get is Pat Micals car, which is a Si clone.

Yep, I'm familiar with them. How long have they been in business? I could swear I saw a Si in Michigan in the early 90s, and wonder if it was one of those clones.
