Half Shaft Angle

first, I am a newbie with respect to the details of construction, however there was a recent post that might be of intrest to you.

using the drawing tools on the right side, you can "detach, then copy into drawing editor to make detail dimensional mesuarements

That orientation should not cause any issues.

Actually, u-joints NEED some mis-match to properly function.

The angle of the u-joints is greatly increased with big block engine swaps, but the stock u-joint assemblies have proven acceptable.

Although I have recently heard there are some who now feel the big block angle is too much and CV joints are perhaps a better solution.

Again, your 1" mis-match should be just fine.

counting pixels from the photo of the mentioned drawing is about 1 1/2"
