Hall Pantera built 28 "Super Panteras" from 1977 to 1992; and then they stepped it up a notch and built 18 "Ultra Panteras" from 1993 to 1998.

The Super Panteras were "Super Expensive" and the Ultra Panteras were "Ultra Expensive", today they don't fetch near the price they cost their original owners, which makes them a great find when they come up for sale.

Chuck, there is a full story about Kevin's Super Pantera in issue 127 pages 26 through 33. And there's some additional pictures of it in issue 128 on pages 46 & 47.

Besides some comments from Kevin about his Hall Pantera, perhaps Jan T (DOES 200) can comment about his too. Besides Jan's Group 4 replica show car you are all familiar with, he also owns a GT5-S and a Hall Ultra-Pantera.

Black one in my photopage below. Just finished polishing up the engine, trans and stuff, so I should have more respectible engine photos on my photo page soon. The Hall Ultra Pant is a totally different car. Mine has Imagine Injection as well, which to me looks good and has a great drive as well. I finally found the guy that built the FI in AZ after months of poking around. Maybe have a PI article in the future, and one other magazine has been after me too, so we will see about a detailed article.

Hey Does,
What kind of air shocks are those? I know Hall used to sell some similar to that for the front end, but I thought that was a kit from Monroe or something. Those look like a modern design. I have been looking for something like that that would fit the a-arms without interference.
Thanks,
Mike

I am still looking into those air shocks. I can't see any label or stamp from the angles I am looking at. AirRide seems to be the way to go now, I am getting some for my red 5S...I like how the front end hops up and down.
Sorry, I have been so busy since getting back from Vegas that I have not had time to reply to posts. As far as I know George is right on about how many Super Pantera's and Ultra Pantera's were produced. My car was built for Oliver Ring ( LLoyds business partner, makes ZF parts for RBT), and was finished around 1985. I do know that Les Gray, Bob and Don Byars worked on my car, they were all at Hall at the time. Basically Hall Pantera used these cars to showcase and sell every product and service they offered from their catalog and shop. Where these cars really shined was in the little details. When I put the car up on a lift, I am always amazed with the detail and how they left nothing untouched. If you get the opportunity to own one you will not be disappointed. I personally have been lusting after Jan's black Ultra Pantera, what a beautiful car!

Yea PAPID, I had my eye on your car too when it was for sale a while back...good find and very decent price to boot! However my mind was gearing toward GT5S mods at the time. I wouldn't buy a stock car again, I would rather get those that put tons of $ into them with decent mods and decent price. Nothing against the stock cars, but after 15 years of my orange stock car, I needed something different. I bet yours rips ass, pedal to da metal! Maybe next time I am in AZ to visit my mom we share a cancer-cigar and rot-gutt Jack Daniel. Last visit I found the Imagine Injection dude in AZ that did my FI, nice guy.
