headlamp door motor

I hardly ever drive at night. I don't care about the lamp door motor working. Has anyone installed a manual lamp lifter, or an easy fix for the worn out motor. I would not mind getting out of the car and lifting the light into position.

Hey Bill, is the motor "working" and just the gear is worn out? or is the motor dead? If they are the same as the window lift motor, I have a extra one your welcome to.

It could also be his limit switch being stuck too.

They worked when I got the car. I can't find power out there anywhere. When i move the switch that activated the amp guage moves a little telling me ther is power at the switch. I just don't care about it being motorized. Well not right now.
