George. Only 94 degrees. It was 99 degrees in Thousand Oaks. Usually Fillmore has a higher temperature than Thousand Oaks. Tomorrow September 1st. is the opening day of dove hunting season. I will be in Fillmore tomorrow at 5am having fun harvesting some of your local fowl. Chuck
We just finished up 12 days of 100+ temps - a new record in Central Alabama. Our lakes have suffered from the worst drought on record with the lake where we have a house down 8 feet. Had to remove my boat about a month ago.

Thankfully though, this past week we've had MAJOR RAIN virtually every day, mid 90's with humidity in our normal 85% range.

Popped the hose on my Pantera's AC, now in the hunt for the right condenser upgrade (in another thread).

Have a great Labor day, however your weather is!
Right now it is 83 degrees in the mountains of Tennessee. A few weeks ago it got clear up into the 90s for days on end. That is right unusual for these here parts. Most times in the summer it gets up to the 80s for a few weeks maybe and sometines in the winter it gets clear down into the 30s. But most times it is what it is supposed to be, sixties and seventies. That is what God intended.
96 in Reno today; I'm goona savor some Ribs at the 'Rib Cook Off' and then wash 'em down with an ice cold beer or three.

I spent the first part of the week in Palmdale CA where it was 106, but there's a breeze that comes up in the afternoon which makes it more bearable.
High temp. of 96 deg.in Sonoma,Ca.saturday, and the crush is on......
Harvesting will continue, with high 80s predicted to continue as well throughout the coming week.
Such are the ways of this paradise called the "Winecountry" and it's fine Wines/Vines...

Fillmore hit 97 degrees F today

It got up to 90 yesterday and I still took my Pantera out for my Sunday drive. It didn't overheat. I am beginning to think that thing about Panteras overheating all the time is a suburban legend thingie.
It was up over a 100 the last three days here in Diamond Bar, CA. Friday I got caught in traffic and 4978 got up to 200 or so. She never runs over 190. Must not have liked it much because when I got home she was gurgling. I put about a quart of water in and went for a mountain drive very early Sunday morning. By the time I got home at 7:30 it was 95 out but she never got over 190. I can't wait for it to cool down.

Good news Ron, glad to read the temps are on their way down, the high temps in Sonoma have the readers of my other magazine worried. The phone has been ringing off the hook, everyone is worried about the grapes.

By the way, our latest survey indicated the average wino preferred a good cab 10 to 1 over other varieties.

You can tell those wino readers of yours to relax...
Those very sweet, late harvest Ports,Sauternes, and Thunderbird Select vintages that those sophisticated palates desire are always late harvest varieties, with a lot of hang(around)time, and this weather is perfect for them all right now....
Besides.....................There's always TWO BUCK CHUCK!!!!!!!!!
You'll notice it's empty.......
Actually, I don't know how Chuck does it....
Try to find an estate grown and bottled 2005 Shiraz for less than $20....Let alone $2!

Your "yesterday" was awesome,deeb......I'm gonna take 4744 out tomorrow and pass a few myself....

Cowboy from hell...I hope those toes come back "on line"....................................Ron
