Ok, so I'm not new, but I haven't really been here (except to complain about 1/2 nekkid women).
Its a long story my therapist should hear, not you guys, so I'll cut to the chase. Looks like I finally have a driver.
I've had the car about 4 years. When I went to drive it stuff leaked pretty bad, so it sat while I saved. Found lots of loose bolts and leaky rad. Replaced whole cooling system.
Tried to start it and well not so much. Frustrated, not much time, been working on my wrx for the track. Wife about to kill me.
So, my birthday is coming up and my gift was that a flatbed pulled up and the pantera went across town to be fixed. Don't know my bill yet, but I got the call last night that its running! I'm having him check out the brakes and then I bring it home...I've never driven it (again, my therapist).

It needs lots of TLC and *is* a driver. Pretty worn, some dents, a little rust, but I just want to drive it now. There is a lot to do to this car but I'd say it is fundamentally sound. Mechanic says the clutch slave should be replaced, speedo cable is broken, front lower ball joints need to be replaced. The carb is new, and sounds like it needs to be tuned. And the list goes from there.

I'm quite sure I'll be coming to you guys for help as I move forward.

Thanks guys. Its odd, I'd always wanted a Pantera, but then when I got it I was kind of scared of messing it up. Either way, I'm hoping to bring it home this weekend and set my priorities for the car. i think that's gonna be tough as, I'd like to get seats, but I think I need to work on the speedo cable, etc first! :-)
