HELP how to make photos ''smaller kb''

i need help making photos smaller kb wise to attach or post on the forums. i am sure its simple but after writing a couple of lengthy post and clicking send and losing the whole post when notified to make attachment smaller i am ready to shoot the computer . thanks in advance

In windows, right click on your picture icon, in this new box, click open with 'paint', in the paint program click on resize.

E-mailing a photo to myself as an attachment allows me to choose smaller photo sizes, then I save them when received in those smaller sizes.
