I don't know a lot about the Lambo's but I would have thought that to be more $$

Me too Gary. At least maybe now Coz won't regret so much having parted with his. Now he knows it didn't hold it's value as well as what he maybe thought it did. Coz is a nice guy, I was just trying to make him feel better.

Not the Uracco, its the Miura!

The very first, mid-engine supercar. V12 sitting crossways behind the passenger compartment & on top of the trans. 350 bhp when it was introduced in 1966, and around 385 bhp by the time production ended in 1973.

Rather than a sharp edged angular body like later Lambos, this one had sensuous soft curves.I believe Gandini did the chassis (same guy that did the Panteras chassis). Can't remember who did the body, but Bertone was the Carrozeria.

Only about 700 were built, the number 765 is what I'm remembering. The name Miura comes from a breed of bulls known for their nasty temper, used in bull fighting. Of course, the bull is the symbol of Lamborghini. Due to the limited production numbers, and because it is loved by many sports car fans for being the first one of it's breed (mid engine exotic) the value of the Miura is much more than the Uracco.

The car you are referring to is the Lamborghini Urraco P250. It never had the appeal, power or value the Muria had.

When I bought mine it was 13,000.00 in 72. The 72 is now are bringing in excess of 400,000.00+.

I had a brain cell misfiring, couldn't remember the word transverse, so I just wrote crossways.

Too many brain cell misfires will eventually result in an encephal-back fire, such back fires usually blow out the cranial power valves.
