In my defense, I was laid off July 17 and still have no idea when/if I go back to work.

I'm a union electrician, new construction has DIED, and it is the worst I've seen it in 25 years.

I may just wind up pulling the retirement ripcord a year or so early after riding out the unemployment as far as I can stretch it.

But I sure am glad things have improved so much that the executive and CEO guys have earned their bonuses....

Yeah, too true. Makes you wonder what the actual Shareholders would offer if they actually had any real power. Some (most?) of these compensation packages are beyond reason. Hey, if I was a year from retirement, I'd be all-in. Not much chance things are going to get substantially better in the near future from what I can see. But then I'm often wrong, so things will probably get a lot better!

At least you're putting your time to good use by amusing the rest of us!
