I pit crewed for this Lola T70 coupe from 1968 to 1969, including 3 Can-Ams and many SCCA A/Sports racing competitions.
I then bought it in 1971 (for $3,500) re-built it, and raced it like I stole it (which I guess I did) in 1972.
I then sold it (for $11,000) so I could buy a Brabham BT40 Formula Atlantic in 1973.

It turns out it was previously sold back in 2009 - RM Auctions/London.............For LOTS of Euros!

And it's now for sale again - GTC/France.......
It's great to see it again in such pristine (even though it's red!) condition, and I wonder what it's going to sell for thi$$$$$$ time........

I'll probably go up to a cool million or at least $750K. Beautiful race car.

I used to go to Fantasy Junction, before they moved it to Emeryville, to check out their stock of collector cars back in the early 80's. This kinda looks like the Maclaren I saw there. They used to carry a lot of race cars and exotic cars that you can't even touch now at todays prices. There was a Lancia Stratos I wanted to buy but I had to choose between that or the Pantera. I never regretted my decision but it would have been nice to be able to afford both then.
