Lol, nah, everybody gets a ride in my Pantera too. Smiler
Got this clip edited and up.
Just a quick description of a couple of things.
The clip of the cat up on ramps was when I put new collector gaskets on the headers, who can resist a quick startup with open headers?......... Not me!!!
The launch sequence was done in a new subdivision, we had a better location in mind, but when we got there, there were several peace officers gathered.
Lest anyone thinks I am abusing my new toy, I only launched at about 3,800 rpms, anything lower on a hard launch and it bogs. The carbs really need to be gone through, mostly because I think it had been sittinf quite a while and I think gas may have varnished the carbs. It runs on the rich side right now, whch is fine, runs good, but I think there is a lot more in this motor once it's set back up to run.
I'm haveing too much fun driving it to pull it off the road yet.
Yes, the guy driving with the goofy grin is me. lol
This was my first attempt at getting footage, and my buddy and I just threw it together using roads close to his house. I have some great spots in mind to get better footage, just need to find time to get it set up.
Our editing skillzzz left a little to be desired, but I think it came out o.k. for a first try. Gives me an excuse to try it again.

Jeff,

I think that is absolutely BITCHEN!

Thanks for sharing your PANGASM with us.

I love it when owners share their passion or joy with us. This BB is hit 1000 times per day! There's a lot of non-owners who will see your video and perhaps catch the "bug".

You are officially a Pantera missionary. Carry on reverend.

thanks again, your friend on the DTBB
Thanks George,
It really was my pleasure.
If I had been thinking, I should have put in some links in a credits scroll or something.
The video has allready gotten 759 plays so far, maybe it will stir up a little interest.
If time allows I'll be taking the Pantera to a local Mustang/Ford club meet next Sat., there is supposed to be a member who is a Pantera owner, should be fun.
I'm either gonna snag my buddy to film some more next weekend or just borrow his camera and get some good canyon shots.
Really going to hate when I have to tuck the car away and head back out to work. Frowner

I have the same problem Reverand Bronco. The Holley will bog off of idle and if I launch at 3500 it spins the tires 3/4 of the length of the track before it hooks up.
The Webers are much easier to drive. You just let it fast idle and floor it.
Some shoes work better the others driving.
You have to wear sneakers and kinda 1/2 floor it. If you wear hard sole shoes it will 360.
Then you can't see where you are going because of all the tire smoke, exhaust smoke, etc.
The dyno says I'm at 563hp and 450ft-lbs.
I don't know what else to do but put more gear in it.
I turn the radio way up so people can't hear me scream. It's imbarrasing.
I guess I'll just keep trying to work it out. Smiler

OH MAN!!! That is a totaly awesome car. I wanna!!!
Thanks for the great comments.
My buddy and I realy didn't plan to well on where or what we were going to shoot, so it did turn out a little "tame".
I have a couple shots in mind for the next one, and the old Pirreli's will more than likely be sacrificed to the asphalt gods. Roll Eyes
I'm amazed how many hits the vid. has recieved (5600+ last I checked). If I had known that I would have done a little more with the credits and maybe a link for the forums.
Glad everyone enjoyed it.
Jeff
