$722K (3/4 million USD).

Emery, insiders call it the "K-egg". Originally equipped with a 4.6 liter Ford, the business week article claims it is an in-house designed motor, but it looks like a 4.6 Ford with a bunch of carbon fiber tacked on to me. Hey, a mid engine exotic powered by a Ford motor, where have I seen one of those before?!

Without a doubt, a bitchen car.

DeTom:

An acquaintance of mine purchased a new Saleen S7 in December. He has just had the second engine blow up on him. Note we are in Canada and the snow has been off the ground for less than a month, so it’s not like he’s been able to put a lot of miles on the car. He is also an experienced high performance car driver, his previous two cars being a Murcielago and a Diablo, so it’s not like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

In short, if you have the bottomless wallet that buying a Saleen S7 requires, spend a little extra (what’s an extra $450,000 when you’re in this neighbourhood?) and get a Volkswagen engine in a Bugatti Veyron. Being engineered in Germany, it may actually run for a month without blowing up twice.

Oh heck Doug I will say it. Peter do you think your friend would be interested in trading his broken down juky old car for my perfectly good Pantera???? I don't mormaly do acts of charity this way, but I feel sorry for your friend. This is a one time offer though. He won't be able to talk me into it later. Wink
