ijust purchased a new MSD Blaster coil and MSD-6 multiple spark discharge ignition. The install directions say to hook the heavy duty black and red wires to the battery. This was done. There is a set of orange and black wires that go to the coil. This is done. Now I am left with a thin red wire that has a picture connecting it to the ignition switch. Question #1 where do I hook this wire up to? Please be as specific as possible. The other wire is a white one that in the picture goes to the mechanical points or an electronic amplifier. Question #2 Where do I connect this wire to? Please be specific. Thanks for the help,
Alex

The white wire is used for other msd products such as the msd timing knob (very nice goodie to have) Splice the red wire into the carb choke wire, I believe this wire is ignition hot. I hooked my red wire to the original ignition hot wire of the coil since the msd uses its own coil wires to provide spark.

Hope this helps
NO the stock tach will not work with the pantera tach. Two very important things to note when installing msd stuff in a pantera.
1. Install 100v/20 amp? diode between the amp gauge and voltage regulator. This will prevent the msd to pull voltage from the altenator which will result in run-on. Freaked me out the first time it happened, the car wouldn't die!!! I thought my ignition switch was toast.!
2. The tach needs a MSD voltage triggered tach adapter to run. costs about 60$.
