Hey y'all and "Adams,"

Thanks for your kind words (as always) about # 3463. Serious bites are hard to judge as I still have my Pantera. Serious contenders are more like it.

We as a "group" are plagued by;
1st: The current market
2nd: Low-ball-unrealistic fools who try and convince you why your car is only worth 1/2 or so of it's valuation.
3rd: While we enjoy recognition of our Panteras > higher end cars require a different buyer.
4th: Pantera's do not have a "generic" price of only $40-50k.

Every time I take my car to our local Super Car Sunday someone wants to buy it. My Ebay stint got 2551 views-64 watchers (watching for what-the car to do tricks?)-5 offers-2 pursuits outside of ebay.

What's next you ask? How about this...

This is why I keep my Pantera constantly listed. I constantly get trade offers, some of them down right interesting and entertaining. I've actually had some offers for lakefront land, 2 Harley motorcycles, show cars, muscle cars, etc. The sales will be slow for now but should get better as the economy improves so the international free advertising in ebay is the best deal in town.
Adams, I really do like GT3's and modded TT's. I wanted the Gothic Church but it was "already taken..."

Dennis, I too have had some interesting trade offers but nothing close to anything I would pull the trigger for.

However, ebay is good for the exposure.

I still want to rant about the idiots who think anyone would give away (sell) something of value for nothing...I would rather set fire to my Pantera and drive it off a cliff (jumping out 1st of course-I have too much to live for).

Dave # 3463

ps check out how the Pantera sits next to my Friend's Ford GT.

I guess that there is no harm in trying to get a "fire sale" price. (except for insulting the seller) I have actually received some "close" offers but turned them down. I have seen many cars go extremely under priced especially at the car auctions. I sold an investment condo when I left Hawaii and used the profits to pay down my current mortgage. I wish that I had held on to some of the cash to buy 2-3 collector cars that I saw sell at the Las Vegas BJ auction. They would have made good investments in a few years when the economy recovers!

Hold your line, you have a beautiful car that will bring your price in the years to come!
Did you say what you were replacing the Pantera with? If you did, sorry I missed that thread.

I see you menttioned a GT3. I'm a long time Porsche fan, just got another one, though a primitive and stupid one, sans radiator. Good enough for me, as primitive and stupid give me comfort.

I keep looking at Ford GTs, and think very highly of them. Alas, the microscopic trunk space offsets its roadability to me.

So, let us know what might be next for you. And what's the best offer you've gotten, so the PI world will know where you've set the bar on your gorgeous car.
Adams, thank you for being a fan of # 3463; you have had nothing but very kind comments as long as I have had the car.

As far as setting the bar; more seem to be playing limbo; than high jumping. Why are we as a marque looked upon as we are? Certain examples in our ranks are some of the most well done collector cars out there but yet where are the real $$$ that follow this interest in the better examples? I get more comments, desires, offers, views, people following me on the road, etc, etc, etc... I know what it takes building this type of Pantera in terms of finding the right car, the time involved, the talent and the $$$. Panteras are lusted after by those who want to get something of value for close to nothing. Too bad for us a group of hobbyists.

That's OK, I'm not in a hurry for anything cause it's in my garage...

Here's another trade offered today by a gentleman who has been in contact with me for 4 years. Wanting my car but not buying my car. Just like the collector who offered up a 2003 996 GT2 in trade, "almost" but not really what I would want to trade for.

Taking a shot here - is that a 66 coupe, repro knock-offs? Love sebring silver. Car looks like it rides a little high, maybe new suspension? Or my old eyes?!?

Anyway, looks like a very, very clean car. But even with that 'pretend' IRS on leaf springs in the rear, it's not gonna ride as nice as the Pantera (and lets be honest, it's an even older car), but at least its got disc brakes.

Mid year Vettes (or about ANY year for that matter) do garner a fair and equitable financial following.

This is OT, but the Pantera just falls between the collector cracks. I'm amazed that Isos and Italias and Bizzarinis do as well in collector dollars as they do, with the same essential formula.

Anyway, I'm repetitively complimentary on your car because a) It really is nice, b)Its a tasteful upgrade and c) I lust for your restored Konis that would be so awesome in my Christmas stocking.
...quit lusting after the Konis and buy them. In fact "buy my Pantera" and I'll give you the Konis for free!

I have been a longtime NCRS member and have had 6 Corvettes. The 1967 Silver Pearl, Red Leather, L-79, "Repro Bolt-Ons (correct for 1967 only-safer than K-O's from earlier years))" car sold today for $ 75,900. No documents but #'s and fresh Hi-$$$ resto.

IMHO it sits way to high (with new suspension and/or), lacks any documentation and I don't like the "Trim Tag" either. Us NCRS guys are way too picky... But they certainly have more of a following and willing $$$ when their pretty.

Here are my last 2 Sting Rays. 1965 and 1972 Flight cars. Made mucho $$$ on both > then found my Pantera.

However Cuvee; more people look at, stare at, talk about, follow me around, lust after, want to buy my Pantera than any Sting Ray I've had.
